The Road Repair Project is Completed!

We’re proud to share that the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery Road Repair Project is now complete with only the final striping scheduled for Wednesday, August 13.

This critical upgrade was made possible by the incredible generosity of our donors. Your support has not only improved access and safety but has also honored the memory of those who rest here.

The North Dakota Veterans Cemetery Foundation also wants to extend a heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated ND Veterans Cemetery staff, who worked closely with the contractor throughout the project to ensure families and visitors could still navigate the cemetery during construction.

The results are stunning, and we invite you to come see the transformation for yourself. Thank you for helping us keep the cemetery a place of dignity, beauty, and respect for our veterans.

Week 3 of the Road Repair Project Update

Week three of the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery road project is underway. Today, July 28, the contractor is milling the existing roadway as part of the ongoing improvements. Thank you for your patience as we work to enhance the grounds.

Week 2 of the Road Repair Project Update

Even with the rainy weather, road work is moving forward thanks to the dedication of the contractor and crew. A big thank you to the ND Veterans Cemetery staff who continue to conduct interments and welcome visitors with care and professionalism during this important improvement project.

We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance access and safety for all who visit.

This Memorial Day, We Remember

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, commitment, and selflessness have secured the freedoms we hold dear.

At the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, we walk among heroes — each grave a solemn reminder of lives given in the name of liberty.

We invite you to take a moment to reflect, to remember, and to give thanks. May we live each day in a way that honors their memory.

All gave some. Some gave all.
