Navy Fireman 2nd Class Albert Renner, killed in the Pearl Harbor attack aboard USS West Virginia in 1941, was finally identified and laid to rest in North Dakota in 2020, nearly 80 years after his death.

Floyd Arthur Wells, a radioman on the USS Arizona, was killed in the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941, and nearly 80 years later, his remains were identified through DNA and returned to North Dakota for burial with full military honors.
