ND Veterans Cemetery Foundation
Capital Campaign Fund Raiser 2024

The North Dakota Veterans Cemetery was established by an act of the 1989 ND Legislative Assembly. The Cemetery was opened in July 1992 and today has over 11,900 interments. It is located 6.5 miles south of Mandan on Highway 1806 on a 70-acre tract of land in the southwest corner of the Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The North Dakota Veterans Cemetery is a revered and pristine site that offers a final resting place for our nation's heroes. It is a place of honor, respect, and remembrance, visited by countless families and individuals each year. However, the road leading to and within the Cemetery has suffered considerable wear and tear over the years and needs significant repairs and improvements. To address this, we are launching a road reconstruction project to ensure safe and dignified access to all areas of the Cemetery. The estimated total cost of the project is $660,000. If our goal is reached, we hope to start this project in the spring of 2025.

Any amount donated helps us reach our goal, no matter the amount. All donations will be carefully tracked and will go directly to fund the project. The ND Veterans Cemetery Foundation will match all donations dollar-for-dollar given in support of this project. If you choose to donate to this project, please notate that it is for the "Road Project" on your donation to ensure it is matched by the Foundation.
